Classroom Technologies

LSE provides a range of technologies, listed below, that you can use in the classroom to enhance your teaching. See also the AV Unit website, which provides lists of where equipment is available, and information about the technology available in specific rooms.

The library has launched an LSE laptop loan service, "i-roam", which makes 60 laptops available for staff and students to use in the library.

Borrow from CLT

Voice Recorders

- small audio recording devices that you can use to record your lectures

Instant voting

- a.k.a. "personal response system" (PRS) or "clickers" for immediate feedback from students. Find out more about instant voting.

E-beam

- plug-and-play device that makes whiteboards interactive. Find out more about e-beam.

Tablet PCs, laptops, flip cameras

- to make recordings of presentations; video interviews; create interactive presentations etc.

 

Teaching Room Equipment

Data Projectors

A way of projecting either computer or video images onto a large screen.

Visualisers

Any object and document placed on the visualiser platter is projected to students on the big screen.

Lecture Recording System
