Texting (SMS)

What is it?

moodletxt allows staff to receive text messages in Moodle sent from students’ mobile phones. Text messages sent to Moodle are anonymous and are received in an inbox which can only be seen by Moodle teachers. Students must pay for the texts that they send. Texts can also be sent to students from Moodle by teachers.

moodletxt
is integrated into Moodle but before you can use it you must contact the Centre for Learning Technology (CLT) who will add this feature to your course and provide you with further instructions.
